Cosmetics

Cosmetic products are regulated by Cosmetics regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009. Cosmetic products placed on the European market must be safe for human health when used under normal or reasonably foreseeable conditions. For this purpose manufacturers or importers of cosmetic products in the EU must maintain a product information file including a safety assessment of the product. In addition, products have to be notified at the EU Cosmetic Products Notification portal.
